DIGITAL STORYTELLING - TSUUNT'INA NATION!
My digital story explores the incredible Tsuut’ina Nation, a Dene-speaking community located just southwest of Calgary. In my video, I talk about the Nation’s history with Treaty No. 7 and their ongoing sovereignty, the origins and importance of the Tsuut’ina language, and their traditional separation story that connects them to other Dene peoples. I also share a few beautiful Tsuut’ina words from the natural world and reflect on how learning about their culture, resilience, and language revitalization has inspired me as a future teacher to create a classroom that values storytelling, language, and connection to the land. I also explain what I have taken from this learning experience and how I will use these teachings within my future practice as an educator!

Hi Michelle! Thank you for sharing your digital story of the Tsuut’ina Nation. It was very impactful, and I was able to take away so much from your video. things I may have forgotten to include in mine since we both focused on the Tsuut’ina Nation. I really liked how you included so many pictures, and how what you shared connected so well to them. I especially loved your closing message; it clearly shows the care you put into this and how much you learned and took away from the experience. Again, i thank you for sharing this and I was able to learn more from you.
